Caffeine has a stimulating effect and increases the mobilization of free fatty acids in the bloodstream. It can promote cell metabolism and specifically promote the hydrolysis of triglycerides into free fatty acids and glycerol, thus reducing the accumulation of adipose tissue. It is especially useful in the fight against cellulite, when adipocytes are stimulated to synthesize and accumulate higher amounts of triglycerides, which increases the size of the cells due to the microcirculation disorder.

Caffeine increases lipolysis by inhibiting cyclic nucleotide phosphodiesterase, which is responsible for the conversion of cyclic AMP (cAMP) to AMP. High tissue concentrations of cAMP activate lipase and promote lipolysis.

Caffeine also has a diuretic effect, which helps control fluid retention associated with cellulite. Caffeine works to remove fat cells, tighten, tone the skin and help reduce the appearance of cellulite. Diuretic activity helps remove water from fat cells, thereby reducing their size.
